About the Design: The Flaming-Eye design is inspired by the ancient Yōkai (mythical spirits) of Japanese folklore, more specifically the Karakasa kozō (唐傘小僧) which is said to haved hopped around on one leg, with one large staring eye, and a long tongue that licked passer-byes.

About the Artist
Born and raised in Upstate New York, Richard Longhi has been designing and illustrating multiple mediums since his early youth. His clients have included The North Face, The North Face Japan, Realtree, Walmart, Academy Sports, Proctor & Gamble, Has Heart x Alpha Industries, and Tribe Jiu-Jitsu. In addition to being a passionate creative, Richard loves spending time with his family, Japanese culture, the outdoors, traveling, film, music, concerts, and weightlifting.
